Artist's Description
Back in the late 80s I started creating ART by combining elements from my original photos to create the visions I was seeing in my mind. I never imagined that so many would not consider it ART, WRONG. In fact after that my regular photography was questioned, has this been manipulated. Like we didnt manipulate in the dark room, come on use your brain. I was a part of a show called THE DIGITAL HORIZON that was reviewed by the local art magazine which basically said you can see evidence of conventional art training in all three artist works. Is digital art, ART? See it and judge for yourself! Sounds easy but I say you cant teach some old artists new tricks! Ive been shunned by both world, I give you, DIGITAL ARTIST WILL WORK FOR FOOD.
About Mike McGlothlen
Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums. Now after 25 years of Commercial Photography in the High Point area, Mike now creates art full time, living just outside of Dunn North Carolina. "Welcome to the world as I see it. To smile, be happy and laugh as much as possible, that's what life should be about. I hope this shows through my work and makes you feel the same way." Mike
