Topsail Tower is one of several concert tower that remains on Topsail Island. These towers were part of the mid 1940s Operation Bumblebee. The project was a US Navy effort to develop surface to air missiles.

Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums.
