This Station is part of the ongoing series called "STEAM DREAMS".
This image is a tribute to the great Steam Engine photographer, O. Winston Link. and was created with over 20 original digital files shot with a variety of cameras. These files were blended together with over a hundred layers of art work and filters in Adobe Photoshop CS. This image started with all daylight shots and had to add black masks to every layer to achieve the desired look. This image received an Honorable Mention in a show at the Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh, NC.
Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums. Now after 25 years of Commercial Photography in the High Point area, Mike now creates art full time, living just outside of Dunn North Carolina. "Welcome to the world as I see it. To smile, be happy and laugh as much as possible, that's what life should be about. I hope this shows through my work and makes you feel the same way." Mike
