I guess I have been to Mount Rushmore 8 times through the years. The monument hasn't changed much but the surroundings have. Better roads in and out, a better viewing area, snack bar and of coarse a gift shop. If you haven't seen it, please take time and see it, you'll be glad you did! I want to thank Roseann Caputo for featuring this image in the group BLACK and WHITE ART. This was shot on an old Calumet 4 x 5 camera, I guess sometime in the 1990s. I just ran across the transparency a few days ago and decided to scan it. I am pleased with the end result and do encourage every one to visit this magical place.
