The Hideaway is that place that no one knows about and you can unwind without being bothered. In this case a surfer gets away on a remote stretch of beach and lets his dog run free as he relaxes and gets in a little wave action. I have also created a panoramic version of this image. The Hideaway was created with elements from thirty originally shot digital files and blended together with forty-five layers of artwork and filters in Adobe Photoshop CS.

About Mike McGlothlen

Mike McGlothlen

Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums. Now after 25 years of Commercial Photography in the High Point area, Mike now creates art full time, living just outside of Dunn North Carolina. "Welcome to the world as I see it. To smile, be happy and laugh as much as possible, that's what life should be about. I hope this shows through my work and makes you feel the same way." Mike
