Artist's Description
The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge is a steel vertical lift bridge in Wilmington North Carolina. The bridge, Completed in 1969, spans 408 feet across the Cape Fear River and the lift span can raise as high as 135 feet if needed. this image was shot about 45 minutes after sunset with my Sony a7R on a tripod.
About Mike McGlothlen
Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums. Now after 25 years of Commercial Photography in the High Point area, Mike now creates art full time, living just outside of Dunn North Carolina. "Welcome to the world as I see it.
