A Walk Through The Giant Guitar Desert is part of the Adventurers Series: after fully examining the giant skull, near Area 51 in Nevada, they decide to venture deeper into the desert. The heat was intense, but as they walked they could see something on the horizon. As they get closer it appears to be a series of classic electric guitars sticking out of the desert sand. The closer they got, the larger the guitars were. When they finally arrived at the base of what appeared to be a giant sequoia sized Les Paul, then a Stratocaster, then a Gretsch and then a Rickenbacker. What a find for this small group of adventurers who has trekked a long distance across the desert to view this unbelievable sight. There are four versions of this images, a vertical, a horizontal and two squares. These and more can be seen in the Guitar - Electric Gallery.
Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums. Now after 25 years of Commercial Photography in the High Point area, Mike now creates art full time, living just outside of Dunn North Carolina. "Welcome to the world as I see it. To smile, be happy and laugh as much as possible, that's what life should be about. I hope this shows through my work and makes you feel the same way." Mike
