Great still life, Mike. Love the lighting and the point of focus. It brought back memories of my uncle's camera. vf

Mike McGlothlen replied:

Thanks Mary, it brought back great memories for me too!

Artist's Description

This is very similar to my first camera. My Mom sent it to me for xmas, it was a give-a-way sample she had received from a vender, never the less it got me started in a life of art in the early 60s.

About Mike McGlothlen

Mike McGlothlen

Over the years Mike has dabbled in painting, sculpting & wood working as well as photography. Mike's turning point in his artistic abilities came when he learned how to use the dreaded computer in the mid 80s, then he could combine his love for art with his photographs. Mike's work has won numerous awards as well as being shown all over the country in galleries and museums. Now after 25 years of Commercial Photography in the High Point area, Mike now creates art full time, living just outside of Dunn North Carolina. "Welcome to the world as I see it. To smile, be happy and laugh as much as possible, that's what life should be about. I hope this shows through my work and makes you feel the same way." Mike
